Solar Briefs.....

* San Francisco rolls out it's first Solar Powered Bus Station. They're starting out with 5 bus shelters and will be evaluating their pros and cons before continuing to build further shelters. The plan is to replace 1,100 bus stations by 2013.

Features powered by solar include: WiFi, LED lighting, and The Next Muni Bus System powered by GPS.

The roof of the bus shelter sports a wavy red plastic material and pv panels.
